Review of the ‘Women only’ training 2024 from August 16-17 at Haix in Mainburg
On 16 and 17 August 2024, our latest ‘Women only’ training with Haix took place at their site in Mainburg. The participants were given the opportunity to further expand their expertise in accident rescue. In addition to the technical exercises, it was also about sharing experiences and building a strong network in a male-dominated field.
Our WEBER RESCUE INSTRUCTORS guided the women through three challenging accident scenarios: Car on wheels, car on side and car on roof - with all the important tips and tricks!
Did you know...
... that women are still underrepresented in the firefighting profession and that the proportion of women in Germany as of 31 December 2021 was just 11% in the volunteer fire service and only 2.77% in the professional fire service?
That is why it is important to specifically promote women in the fire service!
- Mixed teams are often more effective and creative in solving problems. Greater diversity brings more perspectives and leads to better decisions. This strengthens team dynamics and offers a clear advantage in vital operations.
- Women often face particular challenges, whether in physical training or in action. A ‘women only’ training programme offers a safe space in which these aspects can be specifically addressed, trained and improved.
