On 30 and 31 August 2024, the WEBER INSTRUCTOR TEAM trained around 50 participants per event day at rescueDAYS in Pratteln.
The event, which was available in both German and French on Friday, enabled participants to gain valuable experience and expand their knowledge at five practice-orientated stations.
Overview of practical stations:
- Bus rescue: The participants learnt various rescue techniques for buses and were able to expand their knowledge of the special requirements for bus accidents.
- Alternative drive systems: Important questions on deactivating and handling high-voltage batteries in the event of a vehicle fire were answered for vehicles with alternative drive systems.
- Car accident: Practical rescue techniques were demonstrated on vehicles deformed by the CRASH SYSTEM in order to be as well prepared as possible in an emergency.
- Tractor with plough: Accidents involving agricultural vehicles result in special emergency situations. During training, the focus was not only on rescuing the patient but also on securing the tractor.
- Side impact: Participants were taught techniques such as cross-ramming for effective rescue in the event of a side impact.
The event not only provided participants with valuable insights into modern rescue techniques, but above all with practical experience in various scenarios. The event, which greatly enhanced the skills and knowledge of the rescue workers, was a complete success. Thanks to ALL those who took part!
