Delivery of 156 sets to Ukraine

16. Mär 2020

After being a loyal customer for many years already, Ukrainian firefighters again placed their trust into reliable and powerful extrication technology made in Austria by Weber Rescue Systems.

After the delivery of 15 sets in 2018 and 93 sets in 2019, Weber will deliver in total 156 sets of hydraulic rescue tools and pneumatic lifting equipment to be stowed in newly built up rescue vehicles made by local vehicle manufacturer Validus. Validus will build 2 types of vehicles, 139 medium rescue trucks built up on Ford Ranger pickup trucks as well as 17 medium rescue trucks based on Volkswagen Crafter Crew Cab chassis. Specially designed for road accidents and small fires, Weber technology plays an integral role in the future service of these vehicles.

Comprising of our V-ECOCOMPACT power unit, RSU 210 PLUS cutter, SP 53 BS spreader and RZT 2-1500 rescue ram, our set offers best extrication capability while at the same time being light-weight and compact and therefore being perfectly suitable for a light rescue vehicle. To complete the set of technical rescue equipment, the rescue trucks will carry a range of stabilisation and lifting equipment.

We are proud to be a reliable and trustworthy partner for the Ukrainian firefighters on their mission for providing a safe environment for the people of Ukraine.
